“I am a nurse practitioner
who had always dreamed of being able to open my own
practice where I could focus solely on the diabetes care
and management that is my real passion and strength. At
age 57 I decided to make the leap of faith with a
dietitian colleague and we opened The Diabetes and
Nutrition Care Center of Bardstown.
I had no business
background, and was terrified by all that I didn't know,
but decided to step out of my comfort zone anyway and
open a small business. After a year in business, I
started working with Melody and have found her very
